Data Strategy

Turn the data you're already collecting into decisions that matter

Your company generates data constantly. Sales records, customer interactions, transactions, operations logs. But most of it never gets used. It sits in systems nobody talks to. Your finance team has one view of what happened. Operations has another. Sales has a third. When your CEO asks a basic question — “How many customers did we gain this month?” — you get three different answers. A data strategy is about deciding what data actually matters to your business, where it lives, who’s responsible for it, and how you’ll actually use it to make decisions.

Where Scattered Data Stops Answering Questions

Exillar-Favicon
search
Data exists everywhere – CRM, ops, finance, marketing – but none of it connects.
01
Answering a basic business question takes a week of manual exports and spreadsheet combining.
02
By the time the answer arrives, the business situation has already changed.
03
The CFO forecasts from data that’s three weeks old because nobody pulled it from the source yet.
04
Data that could flag at-risk customers or predict sales stays silent while the team reconciles numbers.

Where Are You Starting From

Just starting – have data but no structure or foundation
Data Foundation Build
Have dashboards that nobody trusts or uses
Reporting Overhaul
Scaling fast and the data setup is falling apart
Scaling Data Infrastructure
Acquired a company- now have duplicate systems and conflicting records
Post-Merger Data Consolidation
Want to do analytics or AI but the data is too messy to work with
Data Readiness for AI
Finance and operations see different numbers and argue about which is right
Single Source of Truth
Pre-IPO or pre-acquisition and need to show data maturity to diligence teams
Data Maturity Assessment
Multiple departments want their own dashboards and we need a plan first

What can I help with ?

    What Changes

Five outcomes of proper Data Strategy.

Your finance close happens in days instead of weeks

You're not spending half your time reconciling spreadsheets. The data is clean, it flows automatically from source to destination, and by day three after month-end you have final numbers.

People across the company start making better decisions

Your product team can see which features customers actually use. Your sales team knows which customers are likely to expand. Your operations team can spot inefficiencies before they become problems.

    Decision cycles get faster

Your CEO asks a question on Monday. You have an answer by Tuesday because the data is already there, it's already clean, someone just needs to look at it. No multi-week project.

You can actually see trends instead of just reporting

You're not just saying "Revenue went up 15%." You're saying "Revenue went up 15%, driven by three new enterprise customers, offset by SMB churn. Here's the analysis."

    Trust comes back

When you tell people the number, they believe it. Finance agrees with Operations. Sales numbers match what actually came in. There's one version of the truth.

    How We Engage

    1

Understand which decisions actually matter to your business
What does your CFO need to know? What does your CEO ask about? What would your board want to see? What keeps operations up at night? Those are the things your data strategy should support.

    2

Look at what data you have and what condition it’s in
Is the data clean? Is it fresh? Does it live where it needs to? Can you trust it? We audit your data sources and figure out which ones are reliable and which ones are problems.

    3

Design a data structure that serves those decisions
We figure out which systems should feed data to which places. We define what “clean” means for each type of data. We create a roadmap that gets you value fast instead of a perfect architecture that takes two years.

Data that's not being used is expensive — you're paying for systems you're not getting value from

Start by understanding which data actually matters to your business. Book an assessment. We’ll show you what you have, what’s broken, and how to structure it so it actually serves decisions instead of just sitting in databases.

    Got Questions?

Do we need a data warehouse?
Depends on your volume and velocity. If you’re small with simple queries, a well-organized database might be enough. If you’re scaling or have multiple systems feeding data, a warehouse usually makes sense. We assess your actual situation — not what sounds good in theory.
Start with the decisions that matter. What does your CFO care about? Your CEO? Your board? Those should be first. Then layer in what your teams actually need to do their jobs. That’s usually enough. You don’t need to boil the ocean.
You can get quick wins in the first few weeks. A cleaned-up revenue report. A customer metric that’s been driving you crazy. The full strategy usually takes a few months. But you’re seeing value along the way, not just at the end.
That’s fine. We handle the technical parts. What we need from you is clarity on what decisions matter and willingness to define what good data looks like. The tools are getting easier. The hard part is the thinking, not the technology.
